Both burglaries occurred on Saturday, September 23 in the Fairfield County town of Darien, according to the Darien Police Department.
At around 4 p.m. that day, a woman parked her car at the Darien Tennis Club, located at 98 Old Kings Highway North.
When she left the tennis club an hour and a half later, her rear window had been smashed, and her purse had been taken from the vehicle.
Police responded to another scene, less than half a mile away from the tennis club, at 10 p.m. that night, just a few hours after the first burglary.
This time, the male victim said he had parked his car in the parking lot of the Darien Ice House, located at 54 Old Kings Highway North.
Hours later, he was sitting in a restaurant in the shopping center when he noticed that his car window was open.
The burglar had similarly been smashed to pieces, and the victim’s purse and wallet were stolen, along with a brand-new Macbook.
No additional details were provided about the burglars, nor have any arrests been made in connection with the incidents.
